| Chicks and Chickens for Private Sales |
| Prices on chicks go up as they grow older, feather out, and are able to be sexed. On sexed chicks we can only give a 90% guarantee of sex. The older they are the easier it becomes to tell. Chickens that are full grown and layers will be more expensive than chicks. Older chickens, more than 2 years old, should we ever have any to sell, will be reduced in price from young layers and roosters. |
| Pullets are females that have yet to lay an egg, cockerels are males under 20 weeks old. "Straight Run" means that we do not know their sexes so they will be sold unsexed. |
