Our Original Laying Flock
Hens

This is Brownie. She is our lighter colored black sex-link hen. She is low in the pecking order but she holds her own. Brownie will often follow me around outside.
This is Gale. She is our lighter colored golden comet hen. She is a sweet girl but one of the shy ones. Gale stays with the flock at all times, usually where the largest part of the flock is foraging.
This is Haley. She is our darker golden comet hen. She is near the top of the pecking order and not afraid to strike out on her own while foraging. She was super friendly to us as a chick but has since become somewhat aloof.
This is Raven. She is our darker black sex-link hen. She is one of the more friendly in the flock. Still somewhat shy, but she will follow me around like Brownie does.
This is Shadow (left) and Whisper (right). They are our barred rock hens. Shadow is still with us but Whisper passed away over the winter of 2009-2010.
This is Scaredy. She is our Easter Egger hen. She has always been the most afraid of us. She has a beard and muff like an Ameraucana and she lays medium sized green eggs too!
This is Lace. She is our larger bantam hen. We speculate that she is a Brahma/Cochin cross. She has feathered feet. I got Lace to set on eggs this year. She was the biggest of the bantams that were available the day I got her and S'Mores.
This is S'Mores. She was our small Mille Fluer bantam hen. We lost S'Mores over the winter of 2009-2010.
